This Is Us: New season 2 footage teases dramatic Pearson family conflicts
'You see the good, you see the bad. You see it all start to come together'
A month after NBC offered a “very first look” at season 2 of acclaimed family drama This Is Us, the network dropped fresh footage from the hit show Friday. Along with new scenes from the This Is Us return (set for Sept. 26), the clip sprinkles in interviews with the cast about the response to the show and what’s ahead.
“Change is coming,” says Milo Ventimiglia, who plays the Pearson family patriarch, Jack. “You see the good, you see the bad. You see it all start to come together or you see it go really the other way and fall completely apart.”
Among the storylines teased for the new season are the repercussions of Jack and Rebecca’s (Mandy Moore) big fight, Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) and Randall (Sterling K. Brown) contemplating adoption, Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Toby (Chris Sullivan) moving in together, and Kevin (Justin Hartley) deciding whether to film a movie with Ron Howard or stay with Sophie (Alexandra Breckenridge).
