The Texas senator probably will NOT like the 'Late Night' host's two-for-one takedown

Seth Meyers took down two politicians with one well-placed punchline Thursday evening on Late Night.

Initially setting his sights on President Trump, Meyers called him out for flip-flopping between supporting the DACA program — which shields young undocumented immigrants known as “dreamers” from deportation — and dismantling it.

After Trump reportedly struck a deal with Democratic leaders to save DACA protections, he went and tweeted that no deal had been made after all. But as Meyers noted, Trump also sent a tweet expressing support for dreamers, and still another tweet insisting on a border wall (which Democrats consider a nonstarter).

Thus came Meyers’ zinger: “Man, the last time somebody changed positions that much on Twitter, Ted Cruz liked it.”

That was, of course, a reference to Senator Cruz’s now-infamous social media snafu, in which his official Twitter account was caught “liking” a pornographic video.

Late Night With Seth Meyers airs weeknights at 12:35 a.m. ET on NBC.
