The series comes from 'Blooldine' co-creator Todd E. Kessler
Fresh off this summer’s biggest superhero movie, Chris Pine might be tackling a real-life icon for his next role. EW has learned that a limited series is in development at Hulu that would star Pine as Robert F. Kennedy. The Hollywood Reporter was first to report the news.
The drama, which is still untitled, was created by Bloodline co-creator Todd E. Kessler, based off of Larry Tye’s 2016 biography Bobby Kennedy: The Making of a Liberal Icon. Based on interviews with close friends and surviving family, the book traces Kennedy’s journey from his days as attorney general in his brother’s administration to his tragic assassination during his own presidential campaign in 1968.
In the meantime, Pine is set to reunite with Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins for the TNT drama One Day She’ll Darken. He will also be starring as Mr. Murry in Disney’s upcoming A Wrinkle In Time adaptation.
