The Hulu series returns for its sixth and final season Sept. 12
Mindy (Mindy Kaling) is doing great in the new trailer for The Mindy Project‘s sixth and final season. “I have a lot to be thankful for,” she giddily explains. “I got a great job, I got a great son, Will & Grace is back — and bitchier than ever. I’m doing good!” But she’s also, as EW revealed last month, getting divorced this season, and although that’s not mentioned in the teaser, there is very little of her husband, Ben (Bryan Greenberg).
“Guys, I’m married, but I’m not buried,” Mindy states during a night out with her female co-workers. To which Beverley (Beth Grant) responds: “I’ve been both!”
The trailer also includes Mark Duplass’ Brendan dropping a box of donuts that Mindy calls “my babies,” Cliff (Glenn Howerton) making his return, and Jody (Garret Dillahunt) drinking a lot. Oh, and Morgan’s injured — just like the actor who plays him, Ike Barinholtz, who broke his neck during a stunt on upcoming film The Pact.
“I was in this place,” Morgan says from his hospital bed, his legs wrapped up in casts and his neck covered in a brace. Then he starts pointing at his colleagues, Mindy included: “And you were there. And you were there. And you were there. You were having group sex.” At least his weirdness is still intact post-accident?
