Catch more from LeAnn Rimes in the full episode of Entertainment Weekly: The Show, available now on the new People/Entertainment Weekly Network (PEN). Go to PEOPLE.com/PEN, or download the free app on your Smart TV, mobile and web devices.

LeAnn Rimes has been in the biz longer than most 34-year-olds, and during a recent stop by Entertainment Weekly: The Show, the “LovE is LovE is LovE” singer explained how she ended up with a cameo in Steven Soderbergh’s new film, Logan Lucky.

“All of a sudden I get this call one day, asking me to sing in a Steven Soderbergh film,” Rimes chuckled. “I went down to Atlanta and walked on set, sang ‘America the Beautiful’ twice and walked off, and that was my amazing experience, actually. … [Soderbergh is] such a down-to-earth human being.”

Rimes reflected on many of her career highlights, from appearing on Star Search as a little girl, which she credits with being her “first lesson in losing, which is pretty good at eight,” to Coyote Ugly and beyond.

Logan Lucky is now playing everywhere. “LovE is LovE is LovE” is available for streaming.
