The Middle: Lisa Rinna will guest star in the final season
This real housewife of Beverly Hills is heading to Orson, Indiana!
EW has learned exclusively that Lisa Rinna will guest star in the third episode of The Middle‘s final season. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star will play Tammy Brooks, the fun, charming, and filthy rich mother of Lexie (Daniela Bobadilla), Axl’s (Charlie McDermott) girlfriend and Sue’s (Eden Sher) roommate. Frankie (Patricia Heaton) and Mike (Neil Flynn) will meet Tammy and her husband Bennett for the first time at parents’ weekend at East Indy.
Earlier this month, EW broke that the long-running ABC sitcom’s upcoming ninth season would be its last. “We sat down with the cast at the end of last year,” executive producer Eileen Heisler told EW. “It was important to have a year to say goodbye. We want to be able to tell all the stories.”
While the season hasn’t premiered yet, Heisler and fellow EP DeAnn Heline already know how it’s going to end. “It will be true to our show,” said Heisler. “It’s an end that fans will like.”
The Middle returns Tuesday, Oct. 3 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
