13 Reasons Why: Kelli O'Hara, Samantha Logan, more cast in season 2
13 Reasons Why is rounding out its cast with litigators, students, and an anti-bullying advocate in its upcoming second season, in production now. The controversial Netflix drama, about a teenage girl who leaves behind tapes explaining the events that led to her suicide, has cast Kelli O’Hara, Samantha Logan, Anne Winters, Bryce Cass, Chelsea Alden, Allison Miller, and Ben Lawson, according to Variety. The official 13 Reasons Why Twitter account confirmed the news by retweeting Variety‘s story and adding, “New faces. New stories. New secrets.”
O’Hara, a Broadway vet and Tony winner, will be playing Jackie, a “warm, intelligent” anti-bullying advocate. The actress recently appeared on CBS All Access’ The Good Fight as the wife of the unsavory Mike Kresteva.
Logan, who played Tia Stevens on The Fosters, will play a “well-respected track star with a secret.” Other students include head cheerleader Chloe (Anne Winters), “cynical mischief maker” Cyrus (Cass), and Cyrus’ artistic sister Mackenzie (Alden).
Lawson has been cast as Liberty High’s baseball coach Rick, and Miller will play Sonya, a “smart, ambitious litigator.”
13 Reasons Why‘s second season will premiere in 2018.
