Mr. Robot unveils season 3 trailer and premiere date
- TV Show
After a social media scavenger hunt, the first trailer for Mr. Robot season 3 has debuted online, along with the premiere date. New episodes of the USA hacker thriller will debut on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 10 p.m. ET.
The trailer teases what appears to be the darkest season yet for the show. Set to the words of Leonard Cohen's "Democracy," the preview is a too-brief return to America after the 5/9 hack at the end of season 1.
Fans who sorely missed their favorite homicidal tech exec, Tyrell Wellick, will be pleased to see his slicked hair back in the picture, chugging some vodka no less.
There's also a brief glimpse of Irving, the new character played by Bobby Cannavale. The official description of Irving calls him a used car salesman, but I don't know many used car salesmen flanked by masked members of militant Chinese hacker collectives.
Check back with EW as we learn more about what's in store for season 3.
