Narcos season 3 trailer brings a new empire, a new bloodbath
Pedro Pascal is ready to take down the godfathers of the Cali Cartel
For Pedro Pascal, there really is life after death on Game of Thrones — a pretty successful life. The actor, once known to the masses as Prince Oberyn on Game of Thrones, returns to his role on Narcos, DEA agent Javier Peña, as seen in the new trailer for the forthcoming season 3 on Netflix. There’s plenty more drugs, plenty more gunfire, and another empire to take down.
With the conclusion of the DEA’s hunt for drug kingpin Pablo Escobar comes a new fight against the godfathers of the Cali Cartel. Led by Gilberto Orejuela (Damian Alcazar), the “boss of bosses”; Miguel Rodriguez (Francisco Denis), the brains; Pacho Herrera (Alberto Ammann), the “on-the-low hitman” running the Mexican connection and international distribution; and Chepe Santacruz Londono (Pepe Rapazote), running the satellite New York City empire of the drug network; this kingdom of the criminal underworld operates much differently than Escobar’s.
“Try to go through the Cali bosses, all you’ll get are more bodies,” Peña is warned. “These guys don’t make mistakes.”
Narcos season 3 premieres on Netflix this Sep. 1. Watch the new trailer above.
