Britt Robertson is heading to Shondaland.

The Secret Circle and Girlboss actress has joined the cast of ABC’s midseason legal drama For the People, EW has confirmed. Deadline first reported the news.

Set in the Southern District of New York (SDNY) Federal Court, a.k.a. “The Mother Court,” the series follows brand new lawyers working on opposite sides — for both the defense and the prosecution — as they handle the most high-profile and high-stakes cases in the country, all as their personal lives intersect.

Robertson, whose credits also include Life Unexpected and Under the Dome, will replace Britne Oldford in the lead female role Sandra, a sensible and fiercely intelligent public defender who was inspired to go into law after an injustice on her family when she was a child.

The series is created by Shondaland’s Paul William Davies and is executive produced by Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers. Ben Rappaport, Susannah Flood, Wesam Kees, Rege-Jean Page, Ben Shenkman, Hope Davis, Vondie Curtis-Hall, and Anna Deavere Smith also star.
