Westworld is adding another actor to its season 2 ranks — and the role could provide a major hint (that’s a pun) about next year’s storyline.

Jonathan Tucker (Kingdom, Justified) will be playing Major Craddock on the show. The character is described as “a commanding military officer in the second season of Westworld.”

Not much is known about the ultra-secretive HBO drama’s season 2 storyline, but the presence of this character suggests the host rebellion in the park might be countered by a military presence  … or perhaps Craddock is just a park host who thinks he’s in the military? With Westworld, it’s never wise to assume anything.

Tucker joins fellow Westworld newcomer Katja Herbers (Manhattan), who was recently announced as playing a “seasoned guest in Westworld whose latest visit comes at the park’s darkest hour.” There’s also Neil Jackson (Blade: The Series) as “a charming, resourceful man who finds himself in uncharted territory.”

Westworld starts production this month for a return in 2018. The sci-fi breakout also has a presence at Comic-Con International in San Diego, including a panel inside the San Diego Convention Center on Saturday.

HBO's ambitious science-fiction thriller 'Westworld' is based on the 1973 Michael Crichton film of the same name. The series developed by Jonathan Nolan stars Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, and more top names.
