Supernatural stars are realistic about that proposed Arrow crossover
- TV Show
There are all sorts of crossovers in TV land. The DC heroes on The CW have their own Justice League with four-way crossover events, Netflix's heroes of Hell's Kitchen are coming together in The Defenders, the world of New Girl collided with Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and there's even gonna be an animated crossover between Supernatural and Scooby-Doo. But, while a Supernatural–Arrow mashup isn't the craziest concept we've heard, actors Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki are pretty realistic about its chances of happening.
In case you missed it, Amell was asked during a Q&A video for Facebook about the potential for the Green Arrow crossing paths with the Winchester brothers. "That's really up to Jensen and Jared," he said at the time. "I heard that they're getting a spin-off which is exciting but as the much, much more senior members of the CW family, it really would be about finding a moment in their schedule to make all the fans happy. I'm totally up for it. I'm not trying to pass the buck, but the buck is now sitting at their feet."
"Stephen's a big guy," Padalecki told Conan O'Brien on the host's show Wednesday night, echoing Amell's comments about the difficulties of scheduling such big-name stars. "He'd want some apple boxes and stuff to stand on, so it might never happen," he joked.
But Amell is right: EW learned The CW is planning a Supernatural spin-off with Kim Rhodes' Sheriff Jody Mills, said to be getting a backdoor pilot in the main series' 13th season. Maybe after that's set up the network can check to see if there's some multiverse reality where Arrow can dabble in the Supernatural.
