Saturday Night Live writer Josh Patten has been sending a lot of unanswered texts lately. Why no response? Well, probably because his text conversations have been as replies to Donald Trump’s tweets.

Patten, who has written for the show since 2012 (including Trump’s 2015 episode), has unveiled his “incredibly stupid project,” where he has been responding to the president’s tweets as if they were texting each other.

Like any good friend, Patten will recommend a new Netflix show like Stranger Things, check in on how your children’s big activities have gone, or just offer to be there if you need anything.
