Sir Ian McKellen is about to venture inside Stewie’s brain.

The Oscar-nominated, Tony-winning actor whose credits include Gods and Monsters, The Lord of the Rings, and X-Men, will play a child psychologist on Family Guy, EW has learned exclusively. McKellen’s Dr. Pritchfield meets with Stewie after Stewie misbehaves at school.

McKellen, who recently appeared in Beauty and the Beast, has a connection to Family Guy. “One of our writers, Gary Janetti, who wrote the episode, also wrote the BBC series Vicious that starred… Sir Ian McKellen,” executive producer Alec Sulkin tells EW. “That’s how we were lucky enough to get him.”

McKellen’s episode is slated to air next spring as part of season 15, which kicks off Oct. 1. You can get a peek at his character right here.
