The cast will make their first public appearance together in San Diego this year
The first new Star Trek show in over a decade will air this fall on CBS All-Access. But even before Star Trek: Discovery makes its official debut, the cast will make their first public appearance together at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.
The official Star Trek: Discovery panel will take place Saturday, July 22 at 2:30 p.m. PT in Ballroom 20. Cast members in attendance will include Sonequa Martin-Green, Jason Isaacs, Doug Jones, Shazad Latif, Mary Wiseman, Anthony Rapp, and James Frain, along with producers Alex Kurtzman, Gretchen J. Berg, Aaron Harberts, Heather Kadin, and Akiva Goldsman. The panel will be moderated by Rainn Wilson, who is set to guest-star in the series as the charismatic intergalactic criminal Harry Mudd.
Other Star Trek promotional events at the con will include a takeover of the Michael J. Wolf Fine Arts Gallery in San Diego, where fans can take photos with props like the the U.S.S. Discovery Captain’s Chair. Comic-Con badges are not required for entry there.
Star Trek Discovery is set to premiere Sunday, Sep. 24 on CBS, after which it will switch to the network’s paid subscription service, CBS All-Access.
