It's official: The Jersey Shore cast is coming back together on TV
- TV Show
Are you ready to gym, tan, road trip, baby? The cast of the Jersey Shore is heading back to television for a new reunion-centered docuseries being developed by E!.
The unscripted series, titled Reunion Road Trip, will bring Snooki and Co. back together on the boardwalks of the Jersey shore as the cast literally takes a (road) trip down memory lane, stopping off at some of their favorite haunts along the way. They’ll reminisce about their GTL days over family dinners and bring each other up to speed on their lives now. Plus, there’ll be never-before-seen stories from behind the scenes on the hit MTV reality show and talk of the lifelong bond they forged.
Speculation swirled that our favorite Seaside Heights residents were reuniting for a television special when they were spotted filming on Point Pleasant beach earlier in the month. Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi further fueled the rumors when she posted pics to her social media accounts of the female members of the cast having a dinner together. Of course, that also could’ve been after they’d finished filming their shared Burger King ad, which was released Thursday.
The Jersey Shore reunion will act as the pilot episode for the series. Later episodes are yet to be confirmed, but producers are said to be exploring both scripted and unscripted shows and their casts, should the show be developed past the premiere episode.
Greg Lipstone, Simon Knight, Adam Greener, Emily Mayer and Lauren Stevens will executive produce the series, which is produced by All3 Media’s Maverick TV.
THR was first to report the news.
