Kellyanne Conway isn’t the only one having some fun with words.

A day after the White House counselor went viral for using printed signs as props to try to downplay the scandal surrounding Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting with a Kremlin-connected lawyer during the 2016 campaign, Stephen Colbert worked up some flash cards of his own for the Late Show audience.

As with Conway’s appearance on Fox News’ Hannity — during which she singsonged, “What’s the conclusion? Collusion? No. We don’t have that yet. I see illusion and delusion” — Colbert emphasized a quartet of rhyming words.

“Got some handy visual aids here,” he said, readying his signs. “Trump Jr. tried to articulate, but that turned out to incriminate. See, it’s easy to remember. It’s something even an idiot would anticipate, and now he’s going to be an inmate.”
