Neil deGrasses Tyson's family owns Fast Money on Celebrity Family Feud
Neil deGrasse Tyson and his family are, not surprisingly, champs at the game of Family Feud. ABC released a clip from the Fast Money round of their Celebrity Family Feud episode, which airs on ABC this July 16, and the cosmologist and his clan walked away with $25,000 for their charity, STRIVE International.
First up to tackle Fast Money was his son, Travis Tyson, who proved the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. The young science guru in the making was overcome with excitement after scoring 142 points, which perfectly set up his dad, rocking a planetary vest, to crush the next round.
Host Steve Harvey stopped tallying their cumulative score after reading Tyson’s third answer, since they were clearly well over the 200 point mark.
Tyson was also joined by wife Alice Young, daughter Miranda Tyson, and cousin Monique Fortune in facing off against Team Rick Fox. The actor brought his sister Jeanene Marie Fox, brother-in-law Ethan Marshall Edwards, sister-in-law Neriah Davis, and son Kyle Fox.
Elsewhere in the fourth episode of season 3, it was boy bands vs. girl groups. Nick Lachey (98 Degrees), Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick (NSYNC), Nathan Morris (Boyz II Men), and Howie Dorough (Backstreet Boys) played in support of the Prostate Cancer Foundation, while opponents Carnie Wilson (Wilson Phillips), Terry Ellis (En Vogue), Sabrina Bryan (The Cheetah Girls), Robin Antin (The Pussycat Dolls creator), and Kiely Williams (3LW, The Cheetah Girls) duked it out for Girls Inc.
Watch the Fast Money round with Kirkpatrick and Morris.
This episode of Celebrity Family Feud will air on Sunday, July 16 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
