This Is Us promotes the Pearson kids to series regulars
The Pearson family is bringing its kids in even closer.
EW has learned that This Is Us has promoted the actors who play the Big 3 — Randall (Sterling K. Brown), Kate (Chrissy Metz), and Kevin (Justin Hartley) — at younger ages to full-time cast members for the coming season, which should keep Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and Rebecca (Mandy Moore) busy. That includes Hanna Zeile (teenage Kate), Niles Fitch (teenage Randall), and Logan Shroyer (teenage Kevin), along with Mackenzie Hancsicsak (young Kate) and Parker Bates (Kevin). Also becoming series regulars are the actors who play Randall’s two daughters: Faithe Herman (Annie) and Eris Baker (Tess).
Lonnie Chavis, better known as younger Randall, will remain on the NBC family drama, but will not carry the series regular title because of contract obligations to the upcoming Showtime comedy White Famous.
The news comes only a few days after Alexandra Breckenridge, who plays Sophie, and Jon Huertas, who plays Miguel, were upped to series regulars for season 2.
Season 2 of This Is Us begins Sept. 26.
