Carpool Karaoke: The Series

Queen Latifah may be an incredible singer, rapper, producer, actress, and generally cool lady, but maybe don’t let her drive you to work.

During a clip from Apple Music’s upcoming Carpool Karaoke: The Series, which James Corden debuted on Wednesday’s Late Late Show, things get a little dicey right after she and her Girls Trip costar, Jada Pinkett Smith, give it their all on Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy.” As the ladies screech to a sudden stop, Latifah says, “What’s up with the brake jammin’? We were about to be Carcrash Karaoke!”

Later, the rest of the Girls Trip quartet, including Regina Hall and Tiffany Haddish, appears in the back seat to preach the gospel of their new movie — out July 21 — to other drivers and passersby using megaphones and a t-shirt cannon. Yes, they shot a t-shirt cannon from the backseat of a moving vehicle. We’re just grateful no one was hurt.

Carpool Karaoke: The Series debuts on Aug. 8 on Apple Music.
