Parks and Recreation gets the Funko Pop! toy treatment
See Nick Offerman's reaction to his figure
In the words of Leslie Knope, we have to remember what’s important in life: friends, waffles, and Funko Pop! That quotation may be have been very loosely paraphrased, but the former city councilwoman from Pawnee, Indiana, probably would’ve changed her stance if she saw these Parks and Recreation figures.
The parks department of the long-running NBC sitcom is joining the Funko family, the toy company revealed this week.
The government-hating libertarian Ron Swanson (Nick Offerman), the anti-salad Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler), the lovable Andy Dwyer and his alter ego F.B.I. agent Burt Macklin (Chris Pratt), the “lively and colorful” April Ludgate (Aubrey Plaza), and a Pawnee staple Lil’ Sebastian will all be available to purchase starting in July.
See photos below.
“What in the world is this?” Offerman asked when he caught a glimpse of his Ron figure. Though, he thanked Funko for the “support.”
And if you were hoping to see figures like Leslie’s hubby Ben Wyatt (Adam Scott) or the dripping-with-swag Tom Haverford (Aziz Ansari), vote now on Funko’s Twitter for which characters should Pop! in (no regrets for that pun) for phase two of the Parks and Recreation line.
