With Raven Baxter returning to television this summer, Miss Frizzle and Carmen Sandiego on their way, and Sister, Sister hoping to get a second act, it’s no surprise that some Wizards of Waverly Place fans might be hoping for a revival of the popular Disney series.

Series star Selena Gomez most recently fielded a question regarding exactly that on during her appearance on the Zach Sang Show.

“I don’t know… But it was fun,” the “Bad Liar” singer said about her time on the show. “I didn’t think it was going to be that big of a deal when me and David [Henrie], my older brother on the show, were talking about it. But I understand. I’m so proud of that. It was so fun, and it was so funny.”

She continued: “We were having dinner and talking about it hypothetically, where we would be, but we’re all older. David’s married now so we’re in such different places in our lives.”

However, Gomez is open to possibly serving as the executive producer for a series featuring the next generation of Russo family wizard. “That’d be cool,” she said. (She’s currently one of the EPs of Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why.)

Wizards of Waverly Place revolved around the adventures of the mostly magical Russo family (their mom was the only one without powers). Siblings Justin, Alex, and Max (played by Henrie, Gomez, and Jake T. Austin respectively) spent their days helping their wizard father with the family sandwich shop, while also learning magic as they each trained and competed to become the sole family wizard.

Most of the cast reunited for Henrie’s wedding in April, which saw them take a few group selfies as they celebrated the special day.
