After nearly a 30-year hiatus, the Battle lines are being drawn again. Battle of the Network Stars will return to ABC on June 29 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, and the times have changed, which means it won’t be only network stars competing but also those hailing from cable (and even first-run syndication). One hundred stars will be split into themed teams and will compete against each other in a set of athletic challenges like tug of war, archery, kayak relay, an obstacle course, and the dunk tank. (Warning: Their white socks may not be jacked up as high as the ones worn by their predecessors.)

Who are these “stars” that the show title promises? They come from all corners of the television universe, and from series that aired across several decades, including The Brady Bunch, Good Times,  Growing Pains, Charles in ChargeBuffy the Vampire Slayer, Melrose Place and Private Practice. What’s that? Get more specific with the names? They range from Vivica A. Fox to Kevin Sorbo to Lou Ferrigno to Taye Diggs to John Barrowman to Lacheys Nick and Vanessa to no less than five Baywatch actors that are not named David Hasselhoff or Pamela Anderson.
