With former FBI Director James Comey poised to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee about his interactions with President Trump, Stephen Colbert went digging for material in Comey’s prepared remarks — and naturally, he found a few choice nuggets.

During his Late Show monologue Wednesday, Colbert noted that there’s “a lot of weird stuff” in the document and seemed especially tickled by Comey’s account of Trump asking for a pledge of loyalty.

“I didn’t move, speak, or change my facial expression in any way during the awkward silence that followed,” Comey recalled. “We simply looked at each other in silence.”

“He didn’t move a muscle!” Colbert marveled. “Basically, Comey treated Trump like the T. rex in Jurassic Park.

Launching into a dinosaur impression, Colbert added, “It makes sense — they both have the same size hands.”
