Lucas Yancey, a.k.a. the “Whaboom” guy, is a man with a very specific skill set. The latest casualty of The Bachelorette appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live Monday night and showed off his secret impression of Jim Carrey’s Ace Ventura that helped land him a spot on ABC’s dating show.

“Towards the end of the interview, they kind of asked me, ‘Do you have any special skills?’ And, of course, I was like, ‘Yeah, I’ve got a few things in my belt,'” Yancey recalled of his Bachelorette audition. “I said I could do some juggling and I had an Ace Ventura impression that they really, really loved.”

Kimmel asked Yancey to give the audience a preview, but then instantly regretted it. “So, Jimmy, I’m gonna need you to say ‘Ventura’ and then I’ll get after it,” the guest said.

“Eh, you know what? Forget it. It’s okay,” Kimmel said, smiling

After Yancey finally got his chance to show he’s more than just the “Whaboom” guy, Kimmel asked about the origin of his boisterous catchphrase and confronted him about what he told Rachel about Blake.

“I’ve been Whabooming since the womb, Jim,” said Yancey, who then teased how he made up the story of Blake peeling a banana over his bed. Blake was rejected from The Bachelorette after Yancey told Rachel he had a bit of a crush on him. “It either happened or it was a nightmare,” Kimmel’s guest said. When pressed further, he added, “It was a bad dream.”
