Casual season 3 trailer teases everything will be 'alright,' 'okay'
Things might be looking up for Alex, Valerie, and Laura when Casual returns for its third season next week — at least according to the trailer, which you can watch exclusively above.
The Hulu series will pick up after the events of season 2 and will see the trio deal with the consequences of Charles’ death, as well as Valerie’s (Michaela Watkins) choice to move her and Laura (Tara Lynne Barr) out of Alex’s (Tommy Dewey) house, as they attempt to make a fresh (and less co-dependent) start for themselves, be it signing up for a storytelling class or even starting a new job.
Of course, a few familiar faces will once again be guest-starring this season, including Eliza Coupe, who plays Alex’s love interest Emmy, Zak Orth who plays Valerie’s ex-husband Drew, and Kyle Bornheimer who plays her current beau, Jack. Katie Aselton will also return as Valerie’s therapist friend Jennifer. Other guest stars appearing this season are Archer‘s Judy Greer, Gossip Girl‘s Chace Crawford, and Gotham‘s Jamie Chung.
The first three episodes of Casual season 3 premiere on Hulu on May 23. You can get an exclusive first look at the show’s key art above.
Produced by Lionsgate, Casual is created by Zander Lehmann and executive produced by Jason Reitman, Zander Lehmann, Helen Estabrook, and showrunner Liz Tigelaar.
