Veep: Julia Louis-Dreyfus reveals bruise from stunt in Sunday's episode
Julia Louis-Dreyfus suffers for her hilarious art.
Last night’s Veep began with Tony Hale’s Gary helping the struggling former President Selena Meyers (Louis-Dreyfus) flip and turn over a guard rail before someone catches her sitting behind a Resolute Desk replica at the Stuart Hughes President Library and Museum. It’s a hilarious bit of physical comedy, the type of the moment Louis-Dreyfus and Hale where excel.
Apparently, pulling off the scene, however, wasn’t without a few bumps in the road—well, one bump. On Sunday night, Louis-Dreyfus shared a photo of a bruise she sustained while filming this particular stunt. “This is the result of tonite’s episode’s #flipturn. Totally worth it,” the Emmy-winner tweeted.
Check out both the photo and the hilarious scene below:
Veep airs Sundays at 10:30 p.m. on HBO.
