Yes, Ludacris‘ abs in his “Vitamin D” music video are pure CGI. After fans called him out over social media, the rapper explained himself on Conan Wednesday night. “This is typical Ludacris behavior,” he said.

The Fate of the Furious actor first joked that he “worked hard for that chest and those abs,” but then explained, “If anybody has seen any of my videos, this is 100 percent meant to be. I like having fun like you, I like when people joke, I don’t take myself too seriously.”

He added, “Ludacris means beyond crazy, wild, ridiculous. This is all meant to be, so I’m giving people great entertainment.”

“It looks like the airbrushing on the side of a carnival ride,” host Conan O’Brien joshed.

After the video came out, Ludacris responded to a fan who explained the CGI abs were intentional. “It’s ok they slow,” the rapper tweeted.

He further told O’Brien that the CGI effects “cost a little something,” but the spectacle is what “separates me from all the other artists out there. I hate when people try to be the same.”
