After winning an Oscar for telling the story of Edward Snowden in Citizenfour, Laura Poitras is getting up close and personal with Julian Assange in the trailer for Risk.

Filmed over six years, the documentary, which is set to premiere on Showtime this summer, goes inside the WikiLeaks scandal with unprecedented access to the man at the center of it — Assange.

The trailer demonstrates the fear and obstacles Poitras faced in making the film, facing allegations from the FBI of being “anti-U.S.” and paranoia over her own safety.

Executive produced by Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail, Risk screened at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival and will get a theatrical release via Neon.
