“As we come down from the dizzying high of Women’s History Month, let’s appreciate a woman who’s blazing trails right now,” Samantha Bee told her Full Frontal audience Wednesday night. She was talking about Ivanka Trump, whom some consider a progressive ally in the White House. According to one CNN analyst, she’s the “new sheriff in town.”

“Wrong!” Bee fired back. “Sheriff’s are elected to their jobs.” The host proceeded to pick apart Trump’s image as she assumes a new role as her dad’s “eyes and ears,” a.k.a. assistant to the president.

While she reportedly spoke with climate change activist Leonardo DiCaprio, Bee said, “Meeting with Leo DiCaprio is not a sign that you care about climate change, it’s a sign you were a teenager in the ’90s.”

While she allegedly set up a meeting between Donald Trump and Al Gore, Bee added, “She’s not gonna convince her dad climate change isn’t a Chinese hoax. Anyone with a dad knows they have invisible old-man-opinion strength.”

While reports state Trump helped prevent her father from signing that initial executive order attacking LGBTQ rights, Bee clarified, “At most, Ivanka has stopped one out of 24 appalling executive orders. That’s only one more than Tiffany has stopped.”

“Stop it, Democrats,” the host said. “She’s not a wailing wall for you to desperately stuff your prayer notes into.”

“Look, I get it, people are comforted by the thought of a progressive feminist in the White House, to which I say, if you wanted that, you should have voted for it,” Bee continued, pointing to a photo of Hillary Clinton.

Trump’s new job “is the same as her old job,” Bee asserted, “pushing her dad’s dodgy agenda with a smile, which she was doing back when Kellyanne [Conway] was still dreamily pretending to lie to Jake Tapper in her bedroom mirror.”
