Dwayne Johnson, Jimmy Fallon photobomb fans with mascot suits
One fan was brought to tears when meeting his hero.
Dwayne Johnson and Jimmy Fallon decided to have some fun with fans at Universal Studios. For Wednesday’s Tonight Show, the duo suited up as mascot versions of themselves for some classic photobombing, only it ended in a touching moment when the gag brought one Rock fan to tears.
“The Rock! My man, my hero since I was like 5 years old,” the man said, shaking hands with what he thought was just an average mascot. When Johnson removed his head, the two hugged it out and the stunned fan showed off his leg tattoo of the Fate of the Furious star.
Other reactions were more of amazement. “You’re the sexiest man alive, don’t tell my husband,” one woman told Johnson.
Earlier in the episode, Fallon and his guest took to the amusement park as mascots to see how many high-fives, hugs, and photos they could get from patrons in three minutes. Fallon dropped to his knees in celebration of his victory over The Rock as the surrounding crowd cheered.
Johnson’s guest appearance marks the third episode of The Tonight Show‘s Orlando residency in celebration of Universal’s Ride Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon. For the attraction’s grand opening on Thursday, Fallon will interview former Tonight Show host Jay Leno, accompanied by musical guest Jason Derulo.
