James Corden kissed a girl and he liked it — and so did Claire Danes, Christine Baranski, and Jack McBrayer. What began with a stick of cherry chapstick transformed into “The Bold and the Lyrical,” a dramatic soap opera sketch on The Late Late Show in which all the dialogue is made up of lyrics from Katy Perry songs.

In the sketch, Corden wakes up in Vegas with an unrecognizable stick of chapstick, and a mystery woman (Danes) and man (McBrayer) in his bed. “Well, that’s what you get for waking up in Vegas,” Danes says.

He tries to get his bearings and figure out how he got hitched the other night, but then in walks Baranski. “I’ve got the eye of the tiger, you’re gonna hear me roar,” she says before slapping Corden across the face. However, the Good Fight actress has a secret of her one.

In the past, Corden used lyrics from Kanye West, Beyonce, Justin Bieber, and Taylor Swift to craft similar soaps. But this is the “Dark Horse” of the series.
