That's So Raven spin-off Raven's Home a go at Disney Channel
Disney Channel has ordered to series Raven’s Home, its modern spin-off of the 2003-2007 series That’s So Raven, starring Raven-Symoné.
The new series will reunite Raven-Symoné and costar Anneliese van der Pol reprising their roles as best friends Raven Baxter and Chelsea Daniels, respectively, both of whom now find themselves divorced single mothers raising their children in one household.
The supernatural element of the original That’s So Raven series will continue here, as one of Raven’s children begins to demonstrate signs mirroring Raven’s ability to see brief glimpses into the future.
Raven’s children — 11-year-old twins Booker and Nia — will be played by Issac Brown (black-ish) and Navia Robinson (Being Mary Jane). Chelsea’s 9-year-old son, Levi, will be played by Jason Maybaum (Superstore). Sky Katz plays Nia’s friend, Tess.
Raven-Symoné will executive produce alongside Scott Thomas and Jed Elinoff. Production will begin in April in Los Angeles with an anticipated premiere in 2017.
