Matthew Morrison is set to walk through the doors of Grey Sloan Memorial hospital.

The Glee actor will make an appearance on the last few episodes of the current season of Grey’s Anatomy, EW has confirmed, and while neither ABC nor Morrison will give any details about what role he’ll be playing, speculation is swirling that the actor will step into the part of Jo Wilson’s (Camilla Luddington) abusive estranged husband.

At the end of season 12 of Grey’s, it was revealed that Jo was reluctant to marry Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) because she was already married. And because she’d run away from that abusive partner and prayed he’d never find her, she was unable to obtain a divorce. Further, we learned that “Jo Wilson” isn’t her real name.

Executive producer Debbie Allen previously told EW that there was a “big chance” they would introduce Jo’s ex into the fray. “It’s the elephant in the room, the one piece that we have not been able to fit into the puzzle of why they have not been able to get married, what she’s been holding back and what she’s been dealing with,” she explained. “It gives us great story.”

If Morrison does play Jo’s husband, he’ll be the third man on the show with strong romantic feeling towards the resident doctor — DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti) finally confessed his love for Jo in last week’s episode, though he told Edwards (Jerrika Hinton) not Jo herself.

This might also mean we’ll find out Jo’s real name! Place your bets.

Grey’s Anatomy airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
