Leah Remini is getting back together with her TV husband.

The actress, who’s been busy at work on the A&E docuseries Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, will reunite with Kevin James for the two-part season finale of CBS’ Kevin Can Wait. The episodes will see Kevin coming out of retirement to take part in a police investigation, for which he and a fellow cop, Vanessa Cellucci (Remini), will pose as husband and wife.

The pair starred as Doug and Carrie Heffernan on The King of Queens, which ran for nine seasons beginning in 1998. It’s been nearly a decade since the sitcom went off the air in 2007.  “I never thought about bringing The King of Queens back,” James had told HuffPost Live in 2015 about a potential reunion. “I loved working with Leah and Jerry [Stiller] and everybody on that show, so that’s interesting. I don’t know how that would play, though.”

The Kevin Can Wait finale will begin with a half-hour episode on Monday, May 1 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, concluding the following week on Monday, May 8 at the same time.

CBS recently announced the show’s renewal for season 2. “Gonna start getting in shape! Actually I’ll start tomorrow, yeah… definitely starting tomorrow,” James celebrated on Twitter.
