Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers take aim at former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort
The connections between the Trump administration and Russia continue to grow, providing plenty of material for late-night hosts on Wednesday.
Earlier in the day, the Associated Press reported that Donald Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort had previously signed a $10 million yearly contract to work for a Russian billionaire with hopes of strengthening the Putin government.
“Manafort quit when he realized he could just work for an American billionaire and achieve the same thing,” Jimmy Fallon said on Wednesday’s Tonight Show. “Trump was furious, he said, ‘That’s more than he pays me. Who negotiated?'”
Elsewhere on NBC, Seth Meyers also weighed in on the Manafort news. “Former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort is being accused of laundering money from the political party of Ukraine’s former president,” he shared on Late Night. “‘Guilty,’ said his face.”
Tonight Show airs on NBC at 11:35 p.m. ET, followed by Late Night at 12:35 a.m. ET.
