Jimmy Fallon has a new Irish proverb for Trump and his travel ban
On the eve of St. Patrick's Day, President Trump hosted Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny at a Capitol luncheon, praised the contribution of Irish immigrants to the United States, and even recited his favorite Irish proverb.
"Always remember to forget the friends that proved untrue," Trump said, "but never forget to remember those that have stuck by you."
Hours later on The Tonight Show, host Jimmy Fallon poked fun at Trump's way with words and his immigration policy.
Launching into a Trump impression with a Seussian rhythm, Fallon quipped, "I do not like the judge who blocked my travel ban / I do not like him, Trump I am."
Fallon wasn't the only one unimpressed by Trump's proverb, as many Irish people said they'd never heard of it.
The Tonight Show airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC.
