Eva Longoria could be returning to broadcast TV this fall.

The Desperate Housewives and Devious Maids actress has been cast to star in Fox’s comedy pilot Type-A.

She’ll play Axler, “the ambitious, brutally honest consultant who is at war with her inner ‘nice girl.'” The workplace comedy is from New Girl and American Dad veteran Lesley Wake Webster. The original logline for the show described the story as following “a group of people hand-picked to do a job most of us couldn’t handle. They are Achievers. Alphas. But most importantly … A–holes.”

The Golden Globe-nominated actress will actually be coming to Fox even sooner — Longoria is guest starring on Empire this spring. Longoria will play the powerful director of the Nevada gaming commission as Lucious’ (Terrence Howard) plots to expand his reach to Las Vegas. Empire returns March 22.
