Kristen Stewart still doesn’t know why Donald Trump was so obsessed with tweeting about her all those years ago, but the actress remained unfazed by it on The Late Show Thursday night. “We’re all different, that’s okay. Celebrate the differences, you know, whatever,” she said.
Host Stephen Colbert wasn’t so chill. “He tweeted at you 11 times. How does it feel to be tweeted at more than the president has condemned antisemitism?” he asked.
Way before the election, back when Stewart was breaking up with her Twilight costar Robert Pattinson, Trump threw in his two cents on the matter over social media. “Robert Pattinson should not take back Kristen Stewart,” he tweeted. “She cheated on him like a dog & will do it again — just watch. He can do much better!”

Stewart mocked Trump’s old remarks during the opening monologue of her Saturday Night Live hosting gig last month. “I’m a little nervous to be hosting because I know the president’s probably watching, and I don’t think he likes me that much,” she said. “So, yeah, that’s crazy, right?” she added. “The president is not a huge fan of me. But that is so okay. And Donald, if you didn’t like me then you probably really aren’t going to like me now, because I’m hosting SNL and I’m, like, so gay, dude.”
Stewart told Colbert she tried talking to him about it, but he never responded. “I did it publicly, and he didn’t publicly respond. I was kinda disappointed,” she said.
