The 'Seinfeld' star will dish out career advice in 'Dinner With Dad'
Often, having a famous parent can provide a leg up in the entertainment industry. But, that’s not the case for Gabe Greenspan — it’s just one of the issues he’s set to discuss with his dad Jason Alexander on their new Freeform digital series.
Debuting online Friday, Dinner With Dad finds the duo playing heightened versions of themselves. In each of the eight shorts, the Seinfeld alum will meet up with his son at a deli to catch up and give lessons on making it in show business.
In the exclusive clip above, they argue over Greenspan not having the same last name as his famous father, who is most known for his iconic run as George Costanza.
“The fact that you didn’t take the name,” says Alexander, “it really put a halt to the whole family dynasty.”
The Emmy-nominated actor doesn’t care that his son is just going by his given name, considering Alexander was born Jay Greenspan.
“I built a dynasty with that name,” he contends.
