President Trump may not be much of a Hamilton fan, but Stephen Colbert and Patrick Stewart have a new stage production that could be right up his alley.

For the cold open of Wednesday’s episode of The Late Show, Colbert and Stewart channeled Samuel Beckett to perform Waiting for Godot’s Obamacare Replacement, an absurdist drama about whether and when Trump’s much-ballyhooed replacement for the Affordable Care Act will ever arrive.

“If we wait, it will come,” said Stewart, doing his best Vladimir.

“Why hasn’t it come already?” a disheveled Colbert asked.

“He said it was more complicated than anyone thought,” Stewart replied, drawing considerable applause.
