Jenna Fischer may be heading back to your living room. The actress of The Office fame will star in the new ABC/WBTV comedy pilot Splitting Up Together.

Based on a Danish series of the same name, Splitting Up Together features a couple going through a divorce in an unusual way. Instead of total separation, the couple decides to divide their house, alternating weeks where one lives upstairs with their three kids and the other stays in the downstairs apartment. Fischer will play Lena, an “always prepared” woman who nevertheless finds herself struggling to figure out her new life and still infuriated by her laid-back ex-husband Martin.

The Splitting Up Together pilot is written by Emily Kapnek and directed by Dean Holland. Kepnek is also an executive producer on the show, along with Ellen DeGeneres and Mette Heeno, who created the original Danish version of Splitting Up Together.
