Jimmy Fallon gives Hugh Jackman a delicious gift for 17 years of Wolverine
After not doing so well at a game of the 'Whisper Challenge' on 'The Tonight Show,' the late-night host rewarded the 'Logan' star for his years of dieting to play the famed 'X-Men' character.
Hugh Jackman received the ultimate congratulations gift from Jimmy Fallon for closing his role as Wolverine — all he needs is a fork and stretchy pants.
Jackman appeared on the Tonight Show Friday night to discuss his upcoming and final role as the fiercest X-Men, Logan, who he began playing 17 years ago in Bryan Singer’s first adaptation of the long-running comic book franchise.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Tonight Show visit without a few games and surprises. Jackman took on the “Whisper Challenge” first, which required him to wear headphones and read Fallon’s lips as the host said “buttermilk biscuits.” “Let’s get a hamburger” was the closest the actor got to his word.
As a final fun moment of the night, Fallon praised Jackman’s dedication of eating steamed chicken breast to prepare for his many on-screen appearances as the superhero, but decided “it’s time for Wolverine to break his fast.” Famed Italian chef Mario Batali stepped out with a heaping bowl of pasta, and even a little vino, for the actor to enjoy.
Fans can see Jackman’s final portrayal of the adamantium beast in Logan, opening Friday, March 3.
