Do you wish HBO comedy Vice Principals was even more foul-mouthed? Then you are a strange person — but you’ll also be a happy one after watching the blooper reel, which is among the bonus features on Vice Principals: The Complete First Season (out on Blu-ray and DVD Feb. 7).

Created by longtime friends and Eastbound & Down collaborators Danny McBride and Jody Hill, Vice Principals stars McBride and Walton Goggins as a pair of ambitious vice principals at a suburban high school who, after Bill Murray’s principal resigns, set their sights on replacing him. But when new rival Dr. Belinda Brown (Kimberly Hébert Gregory) enters the picture, the pair form an alliance to bring down the outsider by any means necessary. The series also features Georgia King, Busy Phillips, Shea Whigham, Sheaun McKinney, and guest star Susan Park.

“It was a film script that Danny and I wrote,” writer-director Hill told EW last year, explaining the origin of the project. “This was back in 2009. It was just us trying to write a world that we both knew. Danny had been a substitute teacher, my mom is a middle school teacher, so we felt that this would be a fun world to explore. I don’t know how good of a substitute teacher Danny was. It was very short-lived. He did it for a while and realized that the whole living back in Virginia, being a substitute teacher wasn’t necessarily for him. Basically, we never could crack the middle. So, we re-envisioned it as a TV show and talked about it for a few years, and when Eastbound & Down worked out okay, and HBO wanted some more from us, we figured this would be the next best thing.”

In addition to the blooper reel, both the Blu-ray and DVD of Vice Principals: The Complete First Season feature a digital download copy, deleted scenes, and audio commentaries with the cast and crew for all nine episodes.
