Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert reuniting on Tuesday's The Late Show
'The Daily Show' alums are back together.
Stephen Colbert is reuniting with a former colleague on Tuesday’s The Late Show. And it’s not Gary Busey.
A promo for the episode features the host teasing a “very special surprise guest.” As he builds the hype, Jon Stewart, looking quite shaggy, walks out. “Wow. Who’s it going to be?” he asks, before crossing his fingers and guessing, “Gary Busey.”
“We can’t afford Busey,” Colbert screams to an off-camera Stewart, who can be heard laughing.
Considering current political events, the former The Daily Show correspondent couldn’t have picked a better time to bring on his old boss. In that vein, The Late Show released tonight’s cold open, which, thanks to some fun editing has President Trump firing outgoing Attorney General Sally Yates on The Celebrity Apprentice with an assist from Bret Michaels.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS.
