This sounds like a night for the books.

Patrons at New York City’s Comedy Cellar received a great treat Wednesday: Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Amy Schumer, and Aziz Ansari took the stage at Manhattan’s legendary stand-up venue. “A night to remember,” Schumer wrote alongside a photo of her with Rock and Chappelle on Instagram.

New York comedian Jon Laster, who was part of the line-up, shared some details about what went on backstage in a lengthy Instagram post. According to Laster, Seinfeld thought about not going on, but eventually decided to perform a short set. Seinfeld and Rock went back and forth about who would go on next, and at one point, Schumer also asked if she could go on for five minutes. Meanwhile, Ansari was also waiting to take the stage.

“Tonight I was humbled and blessed to have been a part of the greatest show EVER in the history of the Comedy Cellar and maybe comedy period!” Laster wrote. “Felt kinda surreal working with my idols. The Birds, Jordans, LeBrons all in this little hallway but I honestly didn’t feel intimidated I felt like I belonged at least like my work did.”

In an Instagram post, attendee Steve Selenski explained that Chappelle started asking Rock, who was in the audience, questions from the stage, and eventually Rock joined Chappelle and Schumer on stage for some “riffing.”

Also on Instagram, Rock shared a photo of the group on stage with the caption, “Next time you should come.”

2017 will be an exciting year for the funny bunch. Both Chappelle and Schumer have stand-up specials heading to Netflix, Ansari is set to host Saturday Night Live on Jan. 21, and Rock is embarking on his first stand-up tour in nine years starting in February.
