Pretty Little Liars will premiere its final season this April, and with only 10 episodes left, fans are already wondering if this is really the end.

During the Television Critics Association press tour, PLL showrunner I. Marlene King revealed that they’re not ruling a revival out. “There are so many ways to revisit characters and worlds,” she says. “It wasn’t easy to say goodbye to this group of people but I kept saying, ‘We’ll find a way to bring these characters and this world back at some point in time.’ I don’t think it’ll be in two years, but at some point in time.”

Separately, King told EW that the possibility of a revival “made the ending a lot less sad for all of us who were making the show. We would just say, ‘See you in 10 years,’ so I felt like there was that optimism of it’s never really over.”

King continued: “It feels like it’s the right time [for the show to end], but knowing there’s a world where we can all come back together again in the future, I think made it a lot easier to say goodbye.”

Pretty Little Liars returns Tuesday, April 18 at 8 p.m. ET on Freeform.

Four little liars and a being named “A” (who may or may not be the fifth little liar) try to live their lives in Rosewood. It’s complicated.
