Jimmy Fallon is getting ready to party it up when he hosts the Golden Globes next month. In a new promo for the awards ceremony, the comedian and host of The Tonight Show dishes on the “party atmosphere” and the star-studded guest list with a Jerry Seinfeld impression thrown in for good measure.

“This is the best of all award shows because it’s all the biggest stars from television and movies and music,” he says. “It’s a really fun party atmosphere.” He adds, “It should be like a party. I want people to have parties. That’s part of the fun of watching these award shows.”

Fallon succeeds Ricky Gervais, who hosted the Golden Globes for the fourth time in 2016. Before that, Fallon’s former Saturday Night Live costars Tina Fey and Amy Poehler co-hosted three consecutive years, starting in 2013.

The Golden Globes will air Sunday, Jan. 8 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on NBC. Watch the new promo above, and see the list of nominees.
