Melania Trump caught flak this week after she appeared to steal several lines from Michelle Obama’s 2008 Democratic National Convention speech for her own remarks given at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio. On Tuesday night, Stephen Colbert had Laura Benanti on The Late Show to impersonate Melania and mock her plagiarism scandal.

Benanti-Melania professed to be delivering a statement/apology about the scandal that she wrote herself, but instead gave a new speech full of lines cribbed from Green Eggs and Ham, A Tale of Two Cities, Kit-Kat commercials, Braveheart, and even Saturday Night Live.
