A hush has fallen over the airwaves ahead of Super Bowl 2020 as a new Game Day spot for A Quiet Place Part II arrives.

The latest look at this direct sequel to John Krasinski‘s 2018 horror hit comes with a big surprise: the fact that Krasinski actually makes a return appearance. Spoiler alert for those who haven’t seen the first movie, but…

Krasinski starred opposite real-life wife Emily Blunt in A Quiet Place as mother-father team Evelyn and Lee Abbott, who fought to protect their children and their home from the mutant monsters that now dominate the earth and hunt with their enhanced hearing — hence everyone’s need to be quiet. Lee sacrificed his own life at the end of the movie to save his family, including the newborn babe Evelyn birthed in one particularly panic-inducing scene. As seen in the new Super Bowl spot, Lee still makes a return appearance in A Quiet Place Part II through flashbacks that take us back to the day the creatures first came to town.

Paramount also released a behind-the-scenes featurette that explores more of the story at hand. Krasinski, who wrote the script for the sequel, is back behind the camera as director. With the Abbott house destroyed, he says they now have to “go out into the world and see how other people live, so they literally leave the path of safety and go into the unknown.”

“It’s harrowing, it’s terrifying, but at the core of it, it’s a very human story,” Blunt says.

Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe again play Abbott siblings Regan and Marcus, while Cillian Murphy and Djimon Honsou portray two mysterious characters with mysterious intentions from the world beyond the Abbott home. People, as we often learn through apocalyptic tales, are sometimes more monstrous than the actual monsters that roam the land.

“I don’t know why you came all the way up here,” Murphy’s character tells Evelyn. “You won’t survive.” Challenge accepted.

A Quiet Place Part II hits theaters on March 20.
